美國再過不到一個月，就是總統的大選，許多台美人投票之前，不但考慮候選人的國內政策，也會將候選人對台灣的政策，納入投票的考量。而來自以色列，墨西哥，法國，義大利的族群，也會關心候選人的外交政策，是否對他們的故鄉(國家)有所不利，但是無論候選人的政策差別多大，無論選舉結果如何，有一點所有美國人都可以放心的，那就是選出來的總統，一定是美國利益擺第一，絕對不會出賣美國！不但如此，四年後，一定可以再投票來選總統。
台灣的中華民國國民，到今年(2008)總共選了四次總統，第一次有獨裁威權的遺毒，第二和第三次，沒有太多社會福利政策的比較，只有本土和外來政權的論述，也就是統獨藍綠的競爭，而第四次比較上軌道，本土不再吃香，獨立也被看破腳手，百姓看候選人的政策在投票。誰知國民黨上台後，民生社會福利擺一邊，全心全力的搞政治鬥爭，將過去獨派色彩濃厚的公職人員，一個個用司法名義來起訴，要將所有台獨毒素掃清，以便完成終統大目標。這樣搞下去，四年後，不一定可以再投票選總統。
中國呢？人民沒有權利選總統，不論多少個四年後，人民也不會有權利選總統。除非共產黨垮台。

"Tai-chung-yi-chung" is an excellent highschool but bearing the worst possible name in modern Taiwan.
"Tai-chung-yi-chung" was a public highschool built by Taiwanese contributors in early 20th century mainly for Taiwanese students. Practically, it attracted 'good' students from central Taiwan. It has produced many famous heros as well as notorious traitors. Among the notorous, Hsieh Tong-min was the 'greatest.'
Hsieh Tong-min was punished by a 'package bomb' in October 1976 when he was holding the position as the Taiwan Governor.
Many political scientists expect a democratic Taiwan to become a natural model for China. They all neglect the important factor of Taiwan's being an immigrant society. They also neglect the fact that Taiwan is an island nation.
An island people rarely come up with an idea to expand their territory. On the other hand, a mainland people always have the fantasy or even desire to push around for gains. Today's Han people in China are an excellent example. That is why, when talking about Taiwan, they 'all' behave like hungry beasts.
